Hidden Gem: Cooper Jack Bay in Turks & Caicos

It’s not by chance or coincidence that we chose the quiet, unspoiled shores of Cooper Jack Bay for the location of The Strand in the Turks & Caicos.

Located on the south central coast of Providenciales, the hills that hug the shore of Cooper Jack Bay offer heart-stirring views of the Caicos Banks that rival any of the world’s most highly coveted ocean vistas. From the impressive cliffs of natural limestone that hover over the sea, to the hidden coves and beaches below that offer the utmost privacy, there’s just something special about Cooper Jack. And beyond its physical beauty, it’s the perfect place for those with a sense of adventure and a calling to explore.

About Cooper Jack Bay

A popular area for families in the 1980s and 90s, the seclusion and natural beauty of Cooper Jack have made it an attractive area for residents and visitors to visit for decades. And fortunately for us, this quiet residential area remains virtually untouched by commercial development — The Strand will be the first ultra-luxury development to grace the shores of Cooper Jack Bay. But in an effort to maintain the raw beauty and pure essence of the area that drew us here in the first place, we’ve created a community of homes that complements its natural environment rather than consuming it.

Things to Do on Cooper Jack

The natural beauty of Cooper Jack Bay is evident the moment you arrive on Seaview Road. Pathways lined with local silver palms and seagrape give way to coastal cliffs that overlook the Caicos Banks — a vast color palette of mesmerizing blues ranging from electric aquamarine to a deep cobalt.

Take a hike down to the beach below, soaking in the views on the way down. And once you reach the sandy shore, you’ll discover a secluded beach and hidden coves along the coastline that will make you feel like you’re the only person who’s ever been there.

Here, you can easily spend an entire day swimming, sunbathing, and walking the shoreline simply enjoying the sense of peace Cooper Jack brings. But for those seeking an adventure, this is also the place for you.

Cooper Jack’s location on the shallow and largely sheltered Caicos Banks on the south side of the island makes it an ideal place for a variety of water sports. From kayaking to paddleboarding, boating to snorkeling, you can do it all from Cooper Jack. And kiteboarding? The persistent tradewinds here, paired with the shallow waters, make it a kiteboarder’s paradise.

If fishing is more your pace, you’re in luck, too. The Caicos Banks are renowned for their excellent bonefishing conditions, so a short boat ride from shore will take you to some of the best bonefishing spots you’ve ever visited. For deep-sea fishing enthusiasts, you can head out beyond the coral reef, where the sea depth drops from dozens of feet to thousands, to fish for wahoo, mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna and more.

The best part: An established canal system and the marina at The Strand make it easy to be out on the water within minutes.
