Distinguished for design excellence and sustainability.
“Our days at The Strand were equally peaceful whether spent on our private pool deck or down on the hotel’s
private beach. There will never be another hotel that shares this strip of sand with The Strand, which sets this
resort apart from most others on the island—many of which share the densely developed Grace Bay.”
- Elspeth Velten, Travel + Leisure
“The best part? You can enjoy the luxe experience guilt-free. The Strand has been carefully designed as a
sustainable community. Energy comes primarily from solar panels paired with Tesla Powerwalls, while smarthome
technology reduces energy consumption. Native landscaping, rainwater capture, and greywater recycling
limit water use; light-colored exteriors cut cooling demand; and pollinator habitats are protected in partnership
with a conservation nonprofit.”
- Lauren Mowry, Forbes
“Staying at the Strand means facing a series of impossible decisions. Do you jump in a boat and speed over to
the spot formerly known as Prince’s mansion, or sweat out last night’s booze at the pickleball court? Do you
adventure to a nearby shipwreck, or take the conch-cooking class you never knew you wanted? Pro tip: Make
time for everything.”
