John Fair
MANAGING DIRECTOR, DEVELOPER AND PROJECT MANAGER
John Fair is the visionary developer behind internationally renowned resorts in North America and the Caribbean, including Turks and Caicos’ legendary Grace Bay Club and the Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas. Over the past three and a half decades, he has also invested in, developed and managed more than 1,000 residential units, thousands of acres of land development, three million square feet of industrial space, and multiple master planned communities. When he’s not pouring his heart and soul into creating world-class experiential real estate, John pursues his passion for golf, fly fishing, deep-sea fishing, and boating in Turks and Caicos and the Sea of Cortez.

Brue Baukol Capital Partners
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Chad Brue founded Brue Capital Partners in 2011 as a private equity real estate investment firm to acquire commercial real estate, multi-family properties and operating businesses. Since then, the firm has acquired and developed more than $1.1 billion in real estate assets. Geoff Baukol joined the firm in 2016, providing additional investment expertise and strong relationships with institutional investors. Chad has over twenty years of industry experience, including personally transacting over $1 billion in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions and $400 million of vertical development. Geoff has over eighteen years of investment sales experience and has been involved in the sale of over $3 billion of commercial real estate investments in Colorado.

John Macdonald
GENERAL PARTNER
John Macdonald is a successful entrepreneur and former M&A lawyer from Toronto, Canada. Over the past twenty-five years, he has spent six to nine months of the year residing in Turks and Caicos. John founded, owns, and operates Da Conch Shack, an iconic Turks and Caicos restaurant. Da Conch Shack is frequently on the social media feeds of high-profile celebrities, musicians, and professional athletes. Over a 10-year period, John assembled the primary parcel of 1,500 linear feet of Cooper Jack Bay that is being developed as The Strand. In addition to a financial investment, John is bringing his substantial expertise, reputation, and strong community and governmental relationships on Turks and Caicos to assist with the development of the project.

Sophie Tidrick
Vice-President & Development Director
Born and raised in Turks and Caicos, Sophie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to The Strand on Cooper Jack, a beach where she once played as a child. As a former Project Manager for custom luxury homes in South Florida’s most exclusive neighborhoods, Sophie is well-versed in guiding clients through the home building process. She has a Masters of Science (Honors) degree in Environment and International Development and brings a decade of experience to The Strand, drawing upon her background in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility to inform our sustainability initiatives. Her love of Turks and Caicos influences everything she does for The Strand, with the goal of bringing to life an innovative community of luxury homes with a sustainable low-impact footprint. She is thrilled to be working on one of the most exciting new developments in Providenciales and creating something truly one-of-a-kind for our clients and our community.

Thorn Capron
VICE-PRESIDENT & SALES DIRECTOR
Over the past 10 years, Turks and Caicos native Thorn Capron has worked with some of the most successful developers in the Caribbean on truly special luxury real estate. Prior to joining the team at The Strand, he was Head of Sales and Marketing at Amanyara, the Aman property on Providenciales. Thorn is an avid fisherman, diver, kitesurfer, surfer and sailor. If it is in or on the water, chances are Thorn does it and loves it. He hopes to share his passion for the sea and the unique lifestyle of Turks and Caicos with future owners at The Strand.
